Ti Kwan Yin Oolong Tea is a beloved tea with a rich history dating back to the 19th century in China.
This tea is known for its delicate and sweet taste with hints of floral and nutty flavors that evolve with different brewing temperatures. The name Ti Kwan Yin, which means Iron Goddess of Mercy, reflects the legend that the tea was discovered by a poor farmer who was rewarded for his devotion to the goddess.
This high-caffeine oolong tea is a treat for anyone who appreciates a sweet, smooth and flavorful tea.
To brew Ti Kwan Yin Oolong Tea, start with fresh, filtered water brought to a boil. Rinse the tea leaves with hot water and then steep 1-2 teaspoons of tea leaves in 8 ounces of hot water for 1-3 minutes. Adjust the steeping time to taste, as this tea can be enjoyed at different levels of strength. Try different temperatures and brewing methods to experience the nuances of this tea's evolving flavors. Enjoy it plain or with a touch of honey for added sweetness.
It is very good but I would prefer to buy a more flavorful oolong. Any suggestions?
Ti Kwan Yin has a lighter flavor than other oolongs Ive tried, but it still have a very enjoyable flavor! It reminded me a bit of the leafy taste in a green tea.
