Our Purple Jasmine is blended with a great Tumoi Purple Tea and a classic Chinese Jasmine Green tea. It has a delicate, well-balanced flavor with a sophisticated jasmine top note and a bold, strong base with notes of damp wood and light smokiness similar to raw pu’erhs. If you love jasmine teas, raw pu’erhs and stronger slightly smokey green teas, this tea will win your heart.

I enjoy the jasmine purple tea. I haven't yet to try the teas in the starter kit, so I can't say anything about those. I actually use the jasmine purple to for its health benefits, so far I see that it curbs my hunger and relieves my arthritis pain. I also noticed that it has a sedation effect.
It’s difficult to give something like this a numbered rating because people have different tastes.
My husband and I found this to be a little too woody/ tanniny. The taste is quite nice, but after experimenting with different temperatures, brew times, and tea amount, we couldn’t quite find the right balance with the mouth feel after the tea started cooling down.
I say go for it if you want a less floral and strongly wooded tea. But, it definitely a different experience than even a black tea that’s been brewed a little too long.
I've had a few green teas with jasmine that have been a bit too strong, but this purple & jasmine combo is very well balanced. I like it best steeped for a bit long with not-quite-boiling water rather than trying to steep it for a few seconds in boiling water.
I don't know how to describe it other than saying that it tastes like purple. Not that it's grape flavored, it just tastes. . .purple. Normally Jasmine teas are too floral for me, but this one is perfect. I'm ordering more.
