Simple Strawberry Black

TEA BODY: Full-bodied

The first flavor you will notice is a rich and dark, slightly malty black tea with a dry finish, followed by airy strawberry note and a slight astringency that leaves a long-lasting sweet aftertaste. Add some fresh strawberries, cane sugar or strawberry jam to eliminate the astringency and elevate the sweetness.

Light, malty black tea notes, blended with the tangy sweetness of strawberries. Take a deep breath and you will notice deep and intense fruity freshness emerging from the bottom.

South Indian Black Tea, All Natural Flavor, Freeze-Dried Strawberries, Safflower Petals

Small twisted dark brown broken leaves with shiny black hue blended with free-dried strawberry slices and sprinkled with vibrant red safflower petals.

Use one or two teaspoons per cup of water. Steep for 2-3 minutes at 212°F. Use a regular teapot or a tea infuser. If you are adding fresh strawberries, brew loose tea in a teapot or a cup together with sliced strawberries. Use a fine mesh strainer for straining the strawberries and tea leaves. To make strawberry iced tea or sweet tea, use double the amount of loose leaf tea, steep in boiling water for 5 minutes, and add fresh strawberry juice.

Drink hot or serve over ice. Delicious both pure or with a teaspoon of strawberry jam.

tea origin

South Indian teas may be less famous than the Northern Assam and Darjeeling, but nonetheless exceptionally delicious. Unlike malty Assam or muscatel Darjeeling, South Indian teas are closer in flavor to Ceylon teas. They have a rich, fruity, slightly floral and brisk flavor, and a high caffeine content.

Strawberries, juicy and delicious berries native to North America, have been popular worldwide for centuries. No other berries are so sweet and succulent as strawberries. They are a true symbol of late spring and summer which makes them great for desserts and iced drinks.

Black tea is fully oxidized tea. It’s the most consumed type of tea in the world. Once the tea leaves are harvested, they are withered, rolled, oxidised and dried. Withering is a common step in producing tea, used to reduce the moisture content of the leaf. Rolling will break the leaf and speed up oxidation. The last step, drying, reduces the moisture content to a minimum and give the final flavor.
