Nestled along the northeastern Chinese coastline, Laoshan is a picturesque village that boasts a unique black tea variety. Unlike traditional black teas adorned with golden-hued white pekoe-style hairs, Laoshan black teas feature small, tippy leaves.
The iconic Classic Laoshan Black, cultivated in the shadow of a revered mountain, enchants with its velvety texture and robust flavor, characterized by a distinct dark chocolate undertone.
Many are astounded by the tea's natural sweetness and thickness, often questioning if sugar has been added. However, it is the result of the region's climate and soil, which impart these desirable qualities to the tea.
Classic Laoshan Black holds a special place as one of our personal favorites, a steadfast presence on our home tea shelf.

Simple Loose Leaf has adopted a simple shipping model. Tea Subscriptions and Gift memberships have the cost of shipping included in the price you pay.
Individual tea orders pay for the shipping they use and get free shipping on orders over $70.
With the best shipping rates being for 12 ounces of tea or less, typically.
Orders ship on Tuesdays and Fridays right now. Tea Subscriptions and Gift memberships will ship 5 to 10 business after the renewal.
And tea orders ship within 2 to 3 business days of the order being place.
