This Markaibari Estate Green tea is an organic Green Darjeeling tea from the Darjeeling district in West Bengal, India.  Specifically from the Makaibari Estates which have been passed through four generations since it was started in 1859 by G.C. Banerjee, about 18 years after the first tea plantings started in the Darjeeling region.

This green tea is going to feature a smoother and less bitter flavor profile due to the steam processing used to stop the oxidation.  It will also have about 60% more antioxidants than the traditional black teas produced in the Darjeeling region.  This tea is best served neat and can be brewed several times.
